Please do NOT e-mail me your assignments. You will be docked 1 point a week day for assignments turned in past their due date.
Assignment 1: Due September 2
Do a search of 5 famous people who have degrees in psychology and list them. You should also describe who they are. You may not use people who are psychologists (like BF Skinner, Piaget, etc).
Three of those 5 should be people who are using their psychology degrees in their occupation. For example, you cannot use Ted Bundy as someone who was using his psychology degree. You might find a lot of celebrities…so you might want to explain WHY that psychology degree is handy.
Assignment 2: Due September 9
Honestly….Why are you majoring in psychology? If you are not a psychology major, why would you want to major in psychology? You can be realistic. You might have heard it’s an easy major; you might have had a lifelong dream to be a therapist for people battling chronic illnesses. Write a paragraph, double spaced, explaining why you would major in psychology.
Assignment 3: Due September 16
*Calculate your life expectancy and your general health.
*Print out the page with your results (just one page, not pages and pages please) and * write up to a page discussing what variables you can change to live longer and be healthier (you obviously can’t do anything about family history). Make sure you include things from a psychological as well as physical perspective.
